Villa Man Of The Match v Fulham

Vital Villa asked in our last poll for your man of the match v Fulham in our great 2-0 win at Craven Cottage.

Sorry there hasn't been another poll since, been one of those weeks!

Gabby Agbonlahor, you'll not be surprised to hear, was the winner with 49% of the votes.

Gabby fists clenched

Richard Dunne came next with 19%

That left:

Friedel 11%

Presumably, and indeed understandably, Gabby received the bulk of the vote because of his match winning brace, but realistically there were better individual performances on the day that failed to gather the accolades their efforts deserved. First and foremost it was a superb team efforts, with arguably Richard Dunne and/or James Collins being the actual star performer(s), while Stilyan Petrov and Ashley Young enjoyed performances well worthy of mention. Still, hats off to Gabby, after all, without his strikes, possibly the points would have been shared, as opposed to us returning home after a pleasing and well deserved victory.

After a shaky start to the season Ashley is starting to show the form of last season, I hope he starts to get of few MOM awards soon and his knockers get behind him.
