Boum - He's Back Again

You can't keep a good man down, and Freddy Bouma returned to action again in our reserves 3-1 victory over Chelsea and he's hoping this time, he's back properly.

It hasn't the perfect 18 odd months for Freddy having not played a first team game since dislocating his ankle way back in July 2008 against Odense in our successful Intertwobob Trophy outing.

Last March he made a reasonable return to action, playing three reserve clashes before suffering a reaction in his ankle and again ending up on the Doctor's sofa. In October he played a single reserve game before damaging his toe, but in our clash against Chelsea the other night he made a successful return - and whilst not a lot of time has passed yet - there has been no additional adverse reaction.

'I'm pleased because it was my first game back after a long time out.'

Freddy admitted he'd only been back in training for 10 days so he was pretty impressed with his run out and what he was able to do against Chelsea, especially as he only expected to play for an hour tops, yet managed to see the whole 90 minutes out.

'I felt great. I've been here before but it's always great to be back on the pitch.'

Fingers crossed it's third time lucky for Boum Boum. If for no other reason, I'm sure Luke Young would be pleased!

Hope it is third time lucky too Wilf! MF, why would Luke Young be happy? So he can go back to be Cuellar's cover at right back?
