Villa Park Cup Final Screenings

The club have listened to suggestions that Villa Park should screen the Carling Cup Final within it's walls and have made it so.

The club will be showing the match in the Holte Suite and the Holte Pub as we go for some much needed silverware against Manchester United.

The venues will open at midday so fans have plenty of chance to lubricate themselves prior to the 3pm kick off, and the bar will be open until 7pm for either celebrations or numbing the pain.

Those in attendance (although I'm not sure if this is bar based only or not at this moment in time) will also be served a basket meal of either chicken and chips or scampi and chips.

Deserts will also be available, and so will a souvenir for the day.

Tickets for the venues are priced at £20 for adults, and £15 for U16's, young adults and over 65's.

whoops £20 ? I don't think that is a good idea ? 35, 000 regulars will all be at Wembley can't see many paying £20 to watch it in a pub.

3500 regulars won't be at wembley though. We've got 31,000 tickets, as have man u then the rest go to other clubs and coporates. We have more seats at a home game than we'll have at the final. £20 a pop is a bit salty though, isn't it...

Bit steep, especially when you can watch the game for nothing on BBC.

supply and demand as far as I can see. If they don't sell out they will see it was too high but think demand will be high, they are laying on grub, desert and a souvenier. Must admit, not that bad a price as far as I can see, some pubs/clubs will charge and you'll get less. Difficult for those with limited budgets and kids though I know.

mackaavfc how can you afford trips to Iceland, that country is seriously expensive. Is it the puffins that keep dragging you back there?! :o)

Well done the club. From reading the above comments it is apparent that the club's gesture isn't for all supporters, but I still personally believe it to be a course of action that was needed by the club, for if it hadn't have been made available, no doubt there would have been criticism aimed at the club for not covering all outlets, to allow as many supporters as possible, to experience the Wembley appearance. £20 per pop doesn't sound too bad for me, certainly not with grub being thrown in, and the opportunity to follow the game in the company of fellow Villans. It would make for quite a memorable occasion I would think, for those amongst us, unable for whatever reason, to make the trip down to Wembley Stadium.
