Aston Villa vs Tranmere Rovers 1994 Semi Final Featurette

January 20, 2010 will be a night to go down in the Villa Park record books as one of the greatest football matches to ever be witnessed at this famous old ground.

Going into the 2nd Leg of the Carling Cup Semi Final with a slender lead set the stage for what would be an unforgettable night.

Blackburn would have to attack Villa from the start to get back into the tie and make it a contest.

The Lancashire club did more than just that.

But the Villa Park faithful got behind their men and the players delivered to send Aston Villa to the new Wembley for the first time, their first final in 10 years and another statement of improvement under the guidance of Martin O’Neill.

(Please note this is not an affiliate deal, this is a direct Villa sale, nothing related to Vital Villa or Vital Network Ltd. It will be a rainy day in hell before I try to profit from AVFC!)

What happens when we win it? Will they not release a DVD of the final with all the previous rounds? I guess if they do it will only show highlights of the semi not the full 90 although the whole game was a highlight.

Whether there's a DVD of the final done or not, this match should come secondary to nothing and be treated as such. I promise you now, the final won't be that good. It had everything!
