Monny In Carling Cup Rally Cry
After learning last night that we would face the United of Manchester in the Carling Cup Final, Monny has challenged the lads to stuff them!
Speaking to Mr Kendrick of the Birmingham Mail Monny explained the he and the team caught the final few minutes of the Manchester derby, so he was well aware that Rooney had scored.
The impression he gives is he didn't care who we played.
'We're delighted to be there and we've going to try and win the game, regardless of who it would be.'
Now a lot of fans were hoping for City, for all the obvious reasons and there is at least two of them, the more cautious however seemed to prefer the idea of United; less pressure, wouldn't feel as bad as losing to City etc.
O'Neill really doesn't seem to care less, or at least if he did have a preference he isn't letting on, as he continues to say that he's delighted for the players because they deserve to be there, and they deserve to feel the excitement and the experience of a Wembley Cup Final.
Who knows, if our Cup form continues, that could easily become two Cup Final experiences this season, and nobody in their right mind would turn their nose up at that - and it would be an incredible end to the season when you consider the heartache we all suffered against Wigan.
You'd gladly swop that defeat for a double Wembley trip wouldn't you - admittedly your WAGS and wallet probably wouldn't, but who listens to them?

Best of luck in the final Villians. Beat them dirty rag scum. It shouldbe there second string back for the final so I fancy your chances. It would be great to see Dunne finally lift a trophy, nothing less than he deserves.

lol mike. I was very disappointed to see Utd win. Would have loved to beat city in the final, just for Gar3ths sake. However, what team will we face in the final? A full strengh Utd?

Magicmerson, I agree entirely. I'll take a trophy over Champions League footy all day long.
I don't think Fergie will play a weakened side, trophies are the benchmark of success and he knows it.
