Injury To Harewood - Updates Albrighton/Warnock

Just a few brief injury notes.

According to Sky Sports Marlon Harewood, remember him? - he is Villa's Number 9 if you don't! - has apparently broken a metatarsal in training and will be out of action for around 3 months.

That will put pay to a loan move back to Newcastle United or permanent move to a few clubs linked including Hull and the bizarre link to a return to his former club West Ham.

Meanwhile Stephen Warnock came off against Brighton & Hove Albion with a shin injury and might not be fit in time for our Wednesday night game v Arsenal.

MON told the press that Warnock has felt sore for a while but wanted to play in the FA Cup and with back up Nicky Shorey on loan to Forest, was given the chance.

'He will try and rest up for a day or two and see how he is for Wednesday.'

On Marc Albrighton who also limped out of the BHA game on Saturday after setting up the first goal, he told the Birmingham Mail that the medical team will asses the midfielder today adding:

'He’s walking much better at the moment, so we’re not exactly sure.'

Apparently he took a knock so hopefully it will be nothing too serious.

In his first season he more than payed for his transfer fee, turning games like the newcastle game, both games against Reading and that goal v liver*****. But that's it, he now needs to pave the way for a new number 9

think his contract is up in the summer Georgeyboy83. Not sure he has ever fully repaid his transfer fee, it was around £6.5m wasn't it? Spent so much time out of the team, not even on the bench etc and when he did get his chances to start, he never looked likely to make the impact he sometimes (sometimes) did as a late sub.

"luke young can play there. He can be infuriating sometimes". Unfortunately, goodb_2, another chunk of the Villa faithful get infuriated when he DOES play LY at left back. In my opinion, one a manager's ongoing jobs is to develop players - including to the extent that they are capable of playing in completely different roles if need be, but that doesn't suit some.
