Villa's Own John Terry?

Well according to Chris Sutton, Nathan Baker is tailor made to fill that role if he keeps developing as he has done.

Speaking to the Lincolnshire Echo (required reading in this house) former Villan Sutton praised Baker to the hilt and compared him to a 'young John Terry.'

Owing to the relationship between Sutton and O'Neill, he has been able to secure the 18 year old starlet's services until the end of the season for Lincoln City after Villa agreed to extend the loan, and Sutton couldn't be happier.

'He can head, he can tackle and he makes good decisions.'

Adding that some people say the 'art' of tackling is being lost but that is 'one of his strengths,' easy to see why some think that to be honest given that strikers fall over every time they encounter a blade of grass these days and act like they've been shot 16 times when a tackle is made.

'He reminds me of a young John Terry in the making.'

High praise indeed, and Sutton even finishes by saying in his opinion Baker was head and shoulders above everyone else in their last match against Barnet.

Baker, like Clark, has always been tipped highly. He has a long way to go, but he's certainly making all the right noises and putting in the right kind of performances.
