Aston Villa Press Transfer Talk!!

Aston Villa Press Transfer Talk!!

Not a fat lot in transfer gossip at the moment and what there is appears to be in The Telegraph only apart from the persistent talk that Craig Gardner will be allowed to move to Blues if the price is right for Villa.

The Telegraph have a few snippets.

They claim we are watching Spanish 18-year-old Racing Santander (and we all know who came from there don't we beard fans!) midfielder Sergio Canales with Spurs, Everton and Arsenal also linked along with clubs across Europe.

The same transfer page says that Nigel Hokey-Cokey might also, along with Gardner, be on his way out with a possible £5million move to 'take your pick' Bolton, Blackburn, Hull and Wigan. Can't see it myself, all that I hear is that he wants to move back south again, not further up north. Who knows!?

We are also apparently looking at 21-year-old Sporting Gijon left-back Roberto Canella.

In shocking news, Villa are apparently set to buy £30million rated Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Agüero from under the noses of Chelsea. Apparently - and I can verify that this is about as true as 99% of the links to Villa - he is a massive fan of the Iron Man statue near the Town Hall (as he thought it was to do with the comic book and film and is still waiting for the casing to be taken off, so hush hush, don't tell him that IS the statue for goodness sake) in Birmingham - a city he is a regular drinker in as he laps up the culture and museums. You heard it here first... you'll only hear it here and that is because much like all the other links, it's not actually true!

IF Hokey Cokey goes, it will be to London. In my opinion Fulham - especially now they're a midfielder and a striker down.

Great news about Agüero. I'm off down the villa shop to get his name on a shirt. Can they do that funny accent above the U?
