Villa v West Ham Match Build Up

All the build up to Villa v West Ham match tomorrow at the silly o'clock 1:30 kick off time.

Martin O'Neill is calling for a re-focus on the league after the cup adventures telling the official site: 'We have some very fine players. Some players are playing exceptionally well - maybe the best they have ever played. That gives us all encouragement. Some of the performances have been just immense. Maybe that's why we are hanging in there in the league. Now we've got this West Ham game, which is a big match for us. We looked very fresh in the game against Blackburn - and it might have helped to have had that little break - but this match is coming up now.'

Villa v West Ham official site match pack: www.avfc.co.uk Meanwhile former Hammer James Collins says his old team will stay up but he'll not be looking to give them any help on Sunday. He told AVTV: 'It's a game I've been looking forward to for a while. I wasn't here long when we played them at Upton Park and was disappointed with the result that night. I'm looking forward to it. I spoke to a few of the boys already and they are looking forward to it so it should be a good game.'

He also says despite having mates there and the fact they have had injury nightmares, he is a Villa player now and he wants us to win, no question.

Meanwhile MON has explained that Emile Heskey might be a doubt tomorrow after picking up another hamstring problem. He told the Birmingham Mail that he came off in the second half against Blackburn Rovers the other day because his hamstrings were 'tight again'.

with spuds drawing at home and man city 2-0 down at half time it could turn out to be a really decent weekend for us

This is surely a big chance for us. Chelski, Manure and the Arse are going to fill the top three spots but fourth is definitely up for grabs. A win tomorrow puts us well ahead of Liverpoo and level with Spuds and Citeh. I do not want to be saying, after the match, "At least we haven't lost too much ground." This just has to be our year!

MON has gota go im sick of our awful brand of football and his reluctance to buy players from abroad. We have the worst selection of forwards in the whole league

Calm down fellas. Sure, we have a less than prolific forward line but it's not as easy as 'have money will get one'. Even Arsenal, Man U struggle for prolific scorers. We are an established top 7 team and though I would like that to be top Four, well it ain't that straight forward. MoN will know what we lack and do his best. Problem is, he doesnt do himself any favours by staying so quiet all the time but that is his way. I would love for him to go out and snatch Benayoun and Van Der Vaart, or either, but it is unlikely to happen as we ARE NOT part of the big four - neither are Man City - yet. Spurs have the second best striker in the league if you ake me - Defoe. Nobody will sell their best striker to us, we couldn't even get Zaki for 10 mil last season! Who would we buy? Keane - too old now. Beattie for a stop gap? Darren Bent - Sunderland wouldn't sell him but he would be a good choice? What are your suggestions guys? MoN ain't going by the way.
