Hokey Cokey In Or Out? Villa Transfer Talk

Hokey Cokey In Or Out? Villa Transfer Talk

According to The Times Nigel Hokey-Cokey is a wanted man. Not so much by Martin O'Neill it seems (!) but Blackburn Rovers, who Villa face tonight in the first leg of the Carling Cup are amongset a host of clubs who would like to take the midfielders services.

The other clubs the report claims want Nigel Reo-Coker are Hull, Bolton and Wigan. All make sense to be honest, he's not settled - or had a chance to settle depending on how you see things - since moving from West Ham and won't be satisfied to continually see his career stall in the way it has. The confusing thing is when he does get a chance he is often made the captain if Petrov isn't about so MON must see something in him, just not very often?!?!

The report - wrongly in my opinion - also says that Villa have to sell before buying and that NRC could raise up to £5m.

The 25-year-old, who was England U-21 captain not many moons back and is likely to play again tonight in the Cup game is reportedly in the £4million bracket according to another snippet on the net! According to The Sun the Hokey Cokey won't be moving to Blackburn and is set to snub any offers.

So in conclusion? Who knows!!!!!!!!!!

Bit disappointed no links to swaps at Spurs this week, what is going on with the press?!!

Our latest poll asks if you'd sell NRC or not.

Meanwhile, not transfer news but about a player set for big things hopefully, Nathan Delfouneso has told the press that he is willing to wait for his chance and intends to take it when he gets it. 'Can I challenge regularly for a first-team spot? I hope so. It is not down to me, it is down to the gaffer. But I have faith in my ability that I can step up and produce. The boys are playing well, and I have to wait my time and wait for my turn, and hope the chance will come sooner rather than later.'

He also says that MON hasn't talked to him about potentially loaning him out for more experience and the Fonz says he is happy at Villa waiting for his chance at the moment.

I'd take to the Latics at £4 million, perhaps a smaller club would bring out the best in him, big fish and all that, it worked with Titus

Reo Coker is a player we need to keep, he is a bloody fighter, he is the kind of player you need to get stuck in and dig deep, he is the kind of player you need against teams that try and bully you, Delph isn't in the same league as Reo Coker in eyes at the moment.

Hokey should definitely stay - worth more than 5m to us. Delfouneso? With few strikers at the club why would he want to go out on loan even if Mon was thinking about it, which he probably isn't.

Prefer Reo to Petrov this season, but we cant/wont drop our captain. Neither are good enough for the 'next' level though.......If Reo could only improve his shooting and passing (2 of the most major things in footie) he'd be a great player. I can say the same about myself I suppose aswell!!

Out - As long as we replace him with Scott Parker. Coker has had long enough to establish himself, and he hasnt done it. As much effort as he puts in, it is clear he isnt good enough to take us forward. I would rather £4m now than nothing in 6 months aswell.
