'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Eyes On The Prize

James Milner has said the upcoming clashes with Blackburn are guaranteed to be great matches as both clubs will have one eye on reaching the final.

Speaking on the Official Site ahead of tomorrow's first leg of the League Cup, Milner has stated that he and the rest of the team are desperate to 'do the business,' make their way to the final and hopefully pick up some silverware - yet he concedes Blackburn are certainly not going to be a push over.

'It's a tough, tough tie, i's an easier draw on paper. It's a semi final and they certainly won't lie down.'

Milner points to our loss to them earlier in the season as proof they won't be a walkover, but he's hopeful and obviously after dumping them out of the FA Cup Blackburn will be looking for a bit of revenge.

As long as we turn up and play properly, there's no reason why over two legs we can't see them off, and this is obviously what Milly is hoping to do.

'We hope to put in a performance on Thursday night which gives us a platform for the second leg.'
