Goes without saying in this Villa Times there is no need for me to link to the Wigan game or the news that it is off, however I did find this interview from Vital Wigan and then made into a YouTube live interview - me as a women would you believe!!! - is very funny! Full details: Fear Is A Lady In Wigan Lampoon!

News on the awful bus gunning incident involving Moustapha Salifou. I believe Togo have now pulled out of the African Cup of Nations. Full article: Salifou Shocked But Unhurt In Bus Gunning

Salifou quoted on the official site: www.avfc.co.uk

Fieldy: Warning the following article contains the worst similie I've ever heard. It's that bad I'm not even sure it's a similie. Source: Paul Brown - take a bow, he's my new hero! Full article: King Carlos Loves Competition

Older news just to fully catch up:

Fieldy: A New Year and the same tosh headlines...well what did you expect I haven't sobered up yet. In short, Dunney wants to be on the pitch for the next Cup win. Speaking on the Official Site ahead of tonight's clash (then postponed...ed) with Blackburn Dunney explained that he's fed up on not playing a part in Cup Semi's and more importantly Cup Finals, as the ironic stat given all his years in the game, he hasn't once appeared in the latter two stages of a Cup competition.
