Weeman Inspired By The Gabster

Weeman Inspired By The Gabster

Andreas Weimann has revealed that Gabby Agbonlahor is a huge inspiration to him.

Speaking to the Official Site after signing his new contract, Weimann stated that he watches Gabby closely during games in an effort to pick up tips and tricks that he can work on himself in training.

'I try to look at him and try to make the best of my game by picking things up from him.'

He continues to say that he doesn't actually set himself targets, preferring to take each game as it comes and just simply find the back of the net as often as he possible can.

Speaking on his time in the reserves this season, and the moments like the Blues game, Weimann enjoys other teams fielding experienced players even though it makes the matches harder.

'I naturally work hard but Kevin McDonald always says to me the harder I work, the better I'll play.

'It is a good test for us and it shows that they recognise our work because they put strong teams out against us.'

Be interesting to see how he develops over the next season or two. We have him now until 2012 which is more than long enough for him to make the breakthough if he shows he can step up a level.
