AVFC Transfer Talk - Hare To Hammers?!

Funny old game! According to The Daily Mail Marlon Harewood might be on his way back to West Ham! The Hare was on loan at Newcastle United but they aren't in the market to buy him permanently and there had been some talk of them not being able to agree a loan fee for the second half of the season. Now this report says that he might be on his way back to Upton Park in a cut price deal.

The Daily Mail also link Harewood, who is out of contract this summer, to Hull.

Eric Lichaj had returned to Aston Villa after his loan deal at Lincoln City had ended. It is thought that he will be loaned back out but this time to a Championship side.

From Vital Forest: Aston Villa are looking to recruit Spurs defender/midfielder Gareth Bale and if he decides to join them, it could prove beneficial to the Reds'. Full details: Bale To Villa = Shorey To Forest

Matthew Kendrick at The Birmingham Mail claims Villa are interested in Rangers striker Kris Boyd whose contract expires this summer. The 26-year-old Scottish international has 19 goals so far this season. Sorry, can't see this one, he has 97 goals in four years up t'north but it is a massive jump to the Premiership.

Meanwhile, I'm told in exclusive transfer news that Argentinean striker Lionel Messi, currently at Barcelona, is lining up a shock move to Aston Villa due to his apparent obsession with the ultra rare lesser spotted newt which has been seen to reside near Bodymoor Heath. Some of you - including Messi apparently - will remember planning permission was held up at Bodymoor whilst the endangered species survey was carried out. Well, looks like from small newt to Argentinean star at Villa is not all make believe.... well, it is but not in my exclusive source in a parallel universe.

I wouldn't mind Bale at all. He wouldn't be an immediate starter but he can cover the left side and may resurrect his career and fulfill the potential he showed a couple of seasons ago. Another Darren Bent perhaps?

MON plays NRC rarely but when he does, gives him the captaincy. I can't decide if MON is taking the ***** out of Reo-Coker, Petrov or both.

NRC should stay, so should Gardner, they are both grafters who give all for the team. Sidwell could do with a move, i quite like him but doesn't seem like he's willing to put the work in. Cover for Milner please or he'll burn out with the pressure like A. Young did when he was un-dropable.

We want footballers/grafters like Milner not talentless workhorses like NRC. Paula Radcliffe will run for 90 mins, why not play her??Everyone was going on about how good Nige was against Liverpool but we didn't need him and if Albrighton started we could have won. Carlton Cole is punching above his weight at the moment along with Zamora and they are similar players to Marleen in that they have very little talent but use their size well.

Paula Radcliffe would be better than Carthorse. I'm undecided about Nige, he's obviously not the best player in the world but he's not that bad either. Sidwell on the other hand.. seen him play a few good games but on balance he's not good enough. None should be offloaded without - quality - replacements waiting in the wings. Or the beak.
