Few interesting columns today with Andy Townsend and Tony Cascarino adding their voices to the growing opinion that Villa need to go all out to buy a striker to push on and try to cement a place in the top four. Vital Villa asked in a poll suggested by Fieldy aka Oops, Oh Well Can't Win Them All for your man of the match v Arsenal. Carlos Cuellar won with 32% following a couple of goal line clearances. Personally I think it was his fault we lost, we were doing fine until he shaved his beard off and he was so close to me resurrecting the end of season award 'best beard in the team award (so Olof wins something whilst at Villa)' Darn it!

Just 15% got it right with our win, lose, draw poll. 55% had said a win and 30% a draw.

We also asked earlier in the week: Would you sell Heskey in January? Under no circumstances no 53%

Great news on the Vital Villa Acorns Challenge, had a few big donations recently to add to everyone else's generosity. Upshot of that is we are now at 74% of the total aim for 2 seasons before one season is even half way through. Really happy about that, thanks so much to all who have donated so far.

Was going through some old videos on the hard drive and there was a "Barry for England" vid it shows him scoring a great goal against spotingham flopspurs and at the end of the vid text came up saying "I'd like to see Stewart Downing do that " Just shows how times change and maybe we should start a campaign to get Downing in the England team .. but then again i think he can manage that himself on his current form .
