Villa Stars Look To Roar Back v Liverpool

Stiliyan Petrov has started the fight back talk on www.avfc.co.uk saying we have to forget the loss v the Gunners and go all out to beat Liverpool (getting the first double since the 92/93 season in the process)

The Villa captain says: 'We have been on a great run and we deserve to be where we are in this division. It didn't go for us against Arsenal but we're over it already because all our focus needs to be on Liverpool now.'

He says Villa must 'bounce back' adding it isn't the defeat it is how you react to it.

'We know we have enough quality to bounce back from that. Big teams do that. They lose a game and they come roaring back. If you lose one, you have to try and win the next one.'

Petrov VOLLEY

Stephen Warnock meanwhile said on www.avfc.co.uk
that he wants to get one over his boy hood club.

'I used to stand on the Kop when it was still a terrace and there were some great European nights. My dad and my brother were Everton fans and my mum supported Liverpool. But it was a friend from down the road who first took me to a Liverpool game and I was hooked straight away.'

He says despite not playing that many games whilst a Liverpool player, he did fulfill his dream, now he wants to help Villa beat them!

'It's going to be tough because Liverpool are coming off the back of a victory. We lost to Arsenal but we're determined and fully focused on this game.'

He also mentions in his interview that he'd be happy to emulate Steve Staunton who was a fan favourite for both Liverpool and Villa. 'He was a top guy and the things he did when he was at both clubs was so, so impressive.'

I think we'll pick ourselves up & have a right go...The big worry for me would be tiredness as we did look out on our feet at the end of arsenal game...I therefore think us fans can play a big part by really gettin behind the boys & creating the kind of atmosphere that will supply the players with pure adrenalin that will have them running through brick walls for a result!!!!! Lets sing about the Villa aswell & not the blues.....O'Neill's claret blue army............

I got a good feeling about tomorrows game, I thought we looked a little tired on sunday, but you can hear it in the players voices they want it. liverpool watch out. UTV Viiiilllllllaaaa, Villllllaaaa, Villlaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!
