The Verdict - Best Win This Season
Well it is according to Martin O'Neill, but Man U still has it for me - not that I matter of course.
Speaking on the Official Site following our narrow 1-0 victory over Stoke today, O'Neill couldn't have been more pleased following our third win in a week.
'Considering the week we've had, my own view is it may well be the best win of the season so far,' the wee man said.
He continued to explain that tiredness was setting in so the lads had to dig really deep in order to get the result today, although from watching it I wouldn't have said it was that bad. We just played cleverly, used the ball well and although there were some 'last minute defenders' moments overall we were pretty much in control and it wasn't that much of a battling performance.
'I was obviously concerned about how much energy we would have, particularly towards the end of the match.'
The only concern from today was Heskey's groin injury, and he'll be going for a scan on Monday although Monny did say he was feeling better, so hopefully it's only a slight strain.

It's all in the head and O'Neill seems to know it. Winning when you're expected to lose (Manure) is one thing. Winning away when you're espected to draw (Sunderland) is another. Winning when you're expected to win, with the pressure of the Holy Grail hanging over you, well that's something else. That's why this was the best win this season. It shows mental toughness. the mental toughness that will be needed when the second half of the season gets underway.

I was so happy i was nearly in tears .. If we get one more win that will be the best win of the season for me .. beating Arsenal would be fantastic .. then again were playing the blose on my birthday that would be a sweet present
