The ever lovely Lisa Smith has an interview with Carlos Cuellar in the Mercury online today. The Spanish central defender says he won't read the papers after games as only one persons opinion matters, the gaffers. 'I am not worried about what the newspapers say about me. I just worry about what the gaffer says. It is his opinion that really matters.' Adding, 'There is so much news about transfers and players and I don’t like it. Even when we win or when we lose I don’t like to read it.' Oh and he says his taste in reading is more like Mens Health and the great GQ (subscribed to it for years, really is a cut above most mags!) Dan Jones: I would just like to start by saying, WOOHOO!!!! We beat them!!! Ahem, anyway.......I have noticed that one or two Villa fans are getting a little carried away following the biggest win under Martin O`Neill and I would argue our biggest win since the 1996 League Cup final!! However I am here as always to be the voice of reason, to just keep you all mindful of the fact that league wise, we have been here before. Full article: Top Four In December - Déjà Vu?

The ever great: Something For The Weekend (264)

Injury updates from last Wednesday, thought I'd done a Villa Times since then, evidently not..! Whoops! Injury Updates For Davies, Collins & Wilf

Martin O'Neill has blasted reports that Big John Carew might be on his way to Turkish giants Fenerbahce. And on the transfer window he adds: 'Who knows what happens in January? I don't want to be sitting here promising absolutely everything and then finding out that I'm unable to keep these particular promises about anything that happens in a January window.' Saying that one thing is for sure, he doesn't want to be losing players. Full article: MON On Carew & No Transfer Promises

My wisdom spreads as I take the Man Utd interview: An Interview With Villa Fan Fear

Message from Villa: Due to the heavy demand on our phone lines, we are asking supporters to use our online booking facility to make ticket purchases, where possible. We currently have a number of games available to buy, including the Carling Cup semi-final against Blackburn Rovers and the Barclays Premier League clash with Stoke City this weekend.

Thought for the day (nicked from Zaphod) cant believe someone would accuse me of being patronising (that's when you explain something because you think the other person is stupid)
