McAndrew Overjoyed With Performance
Tony McAndrew was overjoyed with the performance of the lads in tonight's FA Cup 3rd round tie against Rochdale, and picked out Gary Gardner for special praise.
Speaking on the Official Site following the match he said how he was pleased that the 'kids' stuck to the match plan, kept the tempo high and kept control of the ball whenever they could.
'We created some chances and I thought we did really well, I was delighted with the clean sheet too.'
He also couldn't resist a little joke:
'There were little bits where the back four got a little bit bored because we were on top.'
Speaking specifically about starlet Gary Gardner, he said:
'Gaz leads by example. He is not too vocal, but his football does a lot of the talking.'

Where does Gardner Jnr play - up front? For some reason I had it in my head he was an all-action midfielder, but 3 goals from midfield would be quite impressive? Can someone clarify?
