Carew Going Nowhere - Yet

John Carew's agent has rubbished talk that the Hulk will be leaving in January following reports earlier today.

Per A.Flod told Dagbladet (so I'm told of course, it's not a regular read in my house) that John would be going nowhere in January but could well be at the end of the season.

Stating that something will happen in the summer, either a contract extension or a transfer, Flod added:

'It's no news that Fenerbahce wants John, that has been known for three years now. Soon the rumours about Panathinaikos will reappear too!'

So there we go, we have the word of the Flod.

I'd rather have him stay to be honest! Great song, a few great goals under his belt, and if we start selling our best players, we'll never see Aston Villa where it belongs...

Well, if Flod says he isn't going anywhere.....! lol Good debate to have had though, interesting stuff. Might call an end to the poll as well then!

i cant really see us offering him another contract and if he has to leave at the end of the year because we have finished in the top 4 a need a top class striker on our books that would be fine

Carew has such experience and if we do go in the Champions League Carew will be well up to the job to bag several goals in. I remeber when he netted 2 goals or more with Lyon in a match. He is really a great striker, if he was to move it would probally be a bigger team or somewhat more money
