'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Christmas Prezzies All Round - The Verdict

The team will be enjoying a well earnt festive night out tomorrow following our 3-0 thrashing of Hull today.

Speaking on the official site after the match Monny admitted that he hoped John Carew hadn't organised the event, but other than that he was 'well' pleased with todays result and the present of another 3 points in our league campaign.

'I am obviously delighted, the first half was really good and I thought we played really well.

'There was great fluidity about us and the lads are delighted.'

As for the early Xmas night out for the lads, Monny said:

'I'm not sure where they are going. That would be a concern. I must follow John to see where he goes....I must find out.'

Now I'm not sure if that's the manager wanting to make sure non of the players enjoy too much 'excess' or whether he wants to add a new nightspot to his own social calender.

I'd best leave that there, but there are some clubs that deal with issues of a 'contretemps' though....cough...so I'm told.

Nonsense aside, it was another good win and we finally seem to have found a Plan B in attack.

The rotation and movement from midfield is far better now Downing's involved - we were all relishing the idea of seeing Ash, Milly and Downing move around the pitch and causing confusion as they go and whilst they haven't fully knuckled it down yet the results against Pompey and Hull more than suggest it will yield positive results.

There's also no doubt that it's good to see us back up a decent win with another instead of succumbing to a defeat as we seem to do regularly.

All in, not a bad Saturday at the office - more of these please.
