Mark Lawrenson, hot on the heals of an incorrect Villa win v Spurs prediction is sticking with us and says 2-0 to the Villa v Hull

The BBC pundit explained: 'Hull are a side reborn since Adam Pearson took over as chairman and all of a sudden they are playing with a bit of confidence. The pressure has come off them since they moved out of the bottom three and they've done well.' Adding, 'Their trouble is that they are coming up against Villa, who are a good side at home. Martin O'Neill will hope Hull do not come and sit back because Villa are still very much a counter-attacking side, but either way I expect them to have too much for the Tigers.'

Stewart Downing is looking for a win tomorrow and told the Official site that we have to cut out the draws in favour of wins now. 'If we want to get into that top bracket of teams in the Barclays Premier League, we need to be picking up three points from games at Villa Park. This is a big one for us. No disrespect to Hull but we need to be winning these matches at home. But they are doing well. They have improved in recent weeks and managed to pick up an impressive draw at Man City. But if we keep playing the way we have been doing we have got a real chance.'
