Lawro & Mystic Mug Say 2-0 - What Say You?

Mark Lawrenson, hot on the heals of an incorrect Villa win v Spurs prediction is sticking with us and says 2-0 to the Villa v Hull

The BBC pundit explained: 'Hull are a side reborn since Adam Pearson took over as chairman and all of a sudden they are playing with a bit of confidence. The pressure has come off them since they moved out of the bottom three and they've done well.' Adding, 'Their trouble is that they are coming up against Villa, who are a good side at home. Martin O'Neill will hope Hull do not come and sit back because Villa are still very much a counter-attacking side, but either way I expect them to have too much for the Tigers.'

Match preview will be linked from www.bbcsport.co.uk at some stage today.

Mystic Mug is also going 2-0.

Stewart Downing is looking for a win tomorrow and told the Official site that we have to cut out the draws in favour of wins now. 'If we want to get into that top bracket of teams in the Barclays Premier League, we need to be picking up three points from games at Villa Park. This is a big one for us. No disrespect to Hull but we need to be winning these matches at home. But they are doing well. They have improved in recent weeks and managed to pick up an impressive draw at Man City. But if we keep playing the way we have been doing we have got a real chance.'

He calls it a 'must win game'.

Meanwhile Stephen Warnock believes Hull will be a tough proposition this weekend because of their terrific team spirit - inspired by the 'infectious' Jimmy Bullard. Full interview: www.avfc.co.uk

I'll link the official site match pack later.

You've said it now Fear. If we don't win, we all know who to blame.

We need to keep an man (Reo Coker) on Bullard at all times and make sure we dont give hm any free kicks outside the area. He's already punished us once before

I think our confidence will be good after the League Cup win and subsequent draw, ok we weren't very good against Tottenham but I reckon we'll do well at home against Hull. No disrespect to them either - not a bad side at all, but we'll be stronger. 3-1 to the Villa.

I think Downing has already acted 'Like a New Signing' (lol, sorry couldn't help myself!) - so I have faith in both Villa and Lawro this week :-)
