Warnock Wants To Push On.

Warnock Wants To Push On.

Stephen Warnock is looking for Villa to improve and push on given our start to the season.

Speaking to SSN, Warnock admitted that we now need to find more consistency if we want to achieve the aim of Champions League football at the end of the season.

Admitting in effect, it's no good us beating Liverpool and Chelsea if we are going to continue to lose to the likes of Blackburn and Wigan.

'Would we have taken what we've got so far, I think so.

'Not many win at Liverpool so we've probably picked up an extra couple of points there, while you would have expected us to beat Blackburn or Wigan.'

Describing the season as evening itself out with the above, he adds the whole team know they are in a good position and a decent, consistent, run upto Christmas will rocket them into the Top 4 positions with points to spare.

At the moment we seem to be simply replicating last season, which performances aside, will be fine until the end of February.

You have to hope some in the squad have learnt from last season's mistakes, and that our newbies can bridge the gap when results go the way of many of our performances.

If we can battle through that dip this time round, maybe doing that will be the confidence boost and the wiping of the slate we need to really push on.

I live in hope at any rate.

I'd rather they played footie on the pitch Col8, how strange! :o) I think the lad does back up his talk to be fair, been very impressed with him this season so far, got to be in contention for the World Cup if he keeps playing like that.
