Milly 'Central' To Monny's Plans

Milly 'Central' To Monny's Plans

Martin O'Neill has heaped further praise on James Milner and whilst praising his versatility again, he even hints that he could be running the midfield from the middle before long.

We all know Monny has been delighted with Milner's efforts from the right hand side, and his stint's as emergency fullback, and Capello seems very happy with him from the left.

Speaking on the official site he said:

'He has got a good football knowledge and a good football brain. In terms of other positions, I feel he can move infield as well.

'I think - because he is not concerned about receiving the ball under pressure - at some stage between now and the end of the season he will play in there for us.

'I just think he's great. He's been fantastic since he's been here.'

Fans have been calling out for Milner to be given a run in the centre as we all seem torn on NRC, Sidders and Petrov and the argument certainly gained weight after the development of Albrighton.

It'll be good to see if he can be our midfield dynamo, he doesn't shirk challenges and we know he can run and run and the option is just too tasty not to try it.

I'd love to see James in the middle, with Downing on the left and Ashley on the right. Ably assisted by Reo/Delph and Stan.

Tats absolutly right, i think that we would then really have one of the best Midfield in the English game and then really challenge for that top 4 spot

will be fascinating to see once Downing is fit, who plays where. Milner in the centre could be very interesting indeed!
