'If It's Football, It's Vital'

World Cup Winner Is A Little Villan

Benjamin Siegrist has gone down in Swiss history after helping them to an unexpected Under 17 World Cup win.

Our youth goalie kept a clean sheet in Abuja as Switzerland rained on Nigeria's hopes of taking a 4th U17 title, to bag their own 'maiden' FIFA trophy.

The role to the World Cup final wasn't easy for the Swiss who faced off against Brazil, Germany and Italy before taking the match 1-0 in front of a crowd of 60,000.

To cap the whole event off for Benji, the FIFA Technical Study Group (nope I'd never heard of them either) awarded him the 'Golden Glove' for best goalie in the tournament, after conceding only 7 goals in 7 games.

Better add him to our list of players to watch then - oh and tap JF up for a photo!
