FA Youth Cup Roles Around Again

Villa will face either Oldham or Rochdale in the Third Round of the FA Youth Cup, with the tie to be played at Villa Park.

As ever the Youth Cup has usually always been a good eye opener for the next batch of youngsters who will soon be invading our reserve squad and getting us all excited.

This year should be true to form with a few unknown's making themselves known, and a few knowns cementing the hope we have in them.

The Third Round matches must be completed by December 12, so we'll update with a solid fixture date. This is unlikely to be announced prior to the Oldham v Rochdale fixture which is still to take place, and must be done and dusted by Nov 21.

This would be a great curtain-raiser to the Spurs game.

I went to the 72 Youth Cup final at VP. We beat Liverpool over two legs. Sir Brian of Little, John Gidman and Bobby MacDonald were all in that side.
