Monny Delighted For Warnock

Martin O'Neill had expressed his delight at Stephen Warnock's England inclusion, believing the call up to be a just reward for how he's settled in at the Villa.

Speaking on the official site ahead of tomorrow's pointless money spinning friendly against Brazil - in some country that's neither England nor erm Brazil, sorry did I say money spinning? - Monny insisted he was 'thrilled for' Warnock who really needs a nickname.

O'Neill, who hasn't been shy to praise our new look defenders this season, also took the opportunity to again point out how quickly and how well Warnie (doesn't work does it) has settled in since his transfer from Blackburn.

'He has done brilliantly since his arrival, really brilliantly. I am absolutely thrilled for him.

'In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he was a little shocked himself at how quickly he has fitted in.'

Monny continues to use words like 'solid and reliable' in describing the left backs attitude and consistency in games for us, but in true Monny fashion he couldn't resist a little giggle:

'He said one of the reasons why he joined Villa was because Fabio Capello comes to see a lot of Villa games - I must admit I hope that wasn't the only reason he joined the club.'

I'm pretty sure it wasn't!
