'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Premiership NO To Celtic & Rangers

Just seen this on Vital Everton, so to save me re-writing after the awful morning getting Vital back up, here is a snippet then a link to the whole article:

Phil Gartside's plans to introduce a two-tier Premier League have been unanimously blocked by the Premier League.

The assembled mass of Premier League clubs rejected Phil Gartside's plans as neither 'desirable or viable', to the delight of what appears to be an overwhelming majority of football fans up and down the country.

Whilst a lot of fans aren't against the idea of the Old Firm joining the English league, they are against them simply walking into the proposed second tier of English football.

i am so glad rangers and celtic are not allowed into the ENGLISH football leagues. we don't need their bigotry and violence. they have their own league, it should stay that way. you don't see porto joining la liga or anderlecht joining the eredivisie.

My thoughts entirely ric112. Any Villa fans who can remember when Rangers caused havoc in Birmingham at what was only a friendly in the seventies will surely never want to see Rangers again at Villa Park. Look at all the trouble they caused in Romania. I am sure most Rangers fans are peaceful football loving fans, but the temptation of playing in England every week will lure all the drunard thug idiots constantly down to England as did the Uefa Final in Manchester, dragging down the name of ENGLISH football, and possibly endangering our World Cup Hosting chances! I would say NO, NO, NO again!
