'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Milner Living The Dream

From Vital England:

Playing against Brazil is most people's 'boyhood dream', and James Milner - as he told BBC WM - hopes to do exactly that this weekend when England meet Brazilian's in Qatar: 'when you're growing up and you're pretending to play for your country, Brazil's probably the team you play against.

'It's an important game, it's a warm-up game, and hopefully if we play them again it'll be in the World Cup final.'

It certainly is a good game to play, you want to test yourself against the very best and playing them again in the world cup final would be very nice - although I must say that I am still miffed that this game is taking place in Qatar though, for me this seems to once again prove that the fans just do not count for anything anymore and 'financial gain' in the name of the game...

Anyway, back to Milner. The Villa man feels it is 'nice' to have been named in the squad again and welcomes the 'tough game' against the Brazilian's but also sees this as a 'chance' for Fabio Capello to try a few new things.

Playing for Villa is something that he feels gives him a better chance with England as well as Capello spends a lot of time watching the Villa boys: 'we've got a lot of great English talent here at Aston Villa. The England manager does his research, he watches a lot of games and when there's a lot of English players he's going to watch.'
