Three Villans In England Squad - Gabby Misses Out

Great news for Stephen Warnock, his great form for Villa since moving from Blackburn Rovers this summer has earnt him a place in the England squad to add to his one cap for the rubbish and stupidly timed friendly in Qatar this Saturday.

James Milner and Ashley Young have also been named in the squad.

No Gabby? Surprised at that, thought he'd done more than enough this season to be in with a shout?

Emile Heskey missed out due to injury.

Squad:

Ben Foster, Robert Green, Joe Hart.
Wayne Bridge, Wes Brown, Gary Cahill, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, John Terry, Matthew Upson, Stephen Warnock.
Gareth Barry, David Beckham, Michael Carrick, Tom Huddlestone, Jermaine Jenas, Frank Lampard, James Milner, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ashley Young.
Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Wayne Rooney.

I have to say I would rather none of the Villa players were selected for this match. meaningless load of rubbish in my opinion

such a stop start season with these friendy games and qualification games, shame, we could have done with getting straight back into another game after the great win this weekend.

agree with u fatloser but out of those 3 only milner will get any time on the pitch, shame gabby wasnt selected thought he earned his squad place so far this season, Crouch only in coz Heskey injured. Break might be good as Burnley on fire at moment and this may halt their momentum

How is it helping England adding another game to an already overcrowded fixture list . I wouldn't mind so much but i checked the tv menu and we aren't even getting it in our part of the world . At least Gabby will be fresh for Burnley . Nice pic .

We can replace Milner with Albrighton, we can replace Young with another midfielder and we can replace Warnock with Shorey, but we can't replace Agbonlahor so i'm more than happy with that.
