Martin O'Neill To Manage Liverpool? Hogwash!

Martin O'Neill To Manage Liverpool? Hogwash!

The words hog and wash spring to mind?

It has been whispered a few times, must admit I was up in Liverpool last weekend and the taxi drivers were all full of it. Personally, I just can't see it.

See what?

Martin O'Neill to Liverpool when the mini-me Tom Jones impersonator is sacked. For one thing, can Liverpool afford to pay off Rafa?

Very much doubt it.

For another, why would MON go to a club in so much debt and seemingly in turmoil with the fans at odds with the owners and the owners at odds with the owners?!?!

A report from the www.newsoftheworld.co.uk says Liverpool's clown owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett want MON to replace Rafa Benitez if they don't gain qualification for next season's Champions League.

The report says they'll stand by him this season but their stance will change in the summer if he doesn't get them back to the CL.

And more rubbish in the report says MON has always honoured his contracts (well, he has a rolling season by season contract so that is easy enough?!) and that he is 'frustrated' by how the Villa fans have turned on him. Total rubbish, he still has massive backing, far more than any of our previous owners, there might be a few doubters (aren't there at every club for every manager and player??) who post on forums and talk on talk shows, but as MON doesn't read the fan sites and I'm sure doesn't listen to the phone in's I can't see that is much of a problem?!?!?

So, I'll finish as I started... hogwash!

Utter tosh! He believes in the things he is doing with Villa and I reckon he'll want to see his project out. He wouldnt want to work with Hicks and Giblet as you can see the ****e the fat spanish waiter has to put up with. The scousers will just have to have Sammy Lee as manager.....good times!

Oh please you can keep that overrated mangers of yours. Rafa is 1000 times better manager then him, dont listen to the agenda filled media. If they replace rafa with this guy liverpool would have team full of average enlgish players playing dull football.

Yeah position for position think about our 'poor' English players - A YOUNG or Riera, MILNER or Kuyt, L Young or JOHNSON, WARNOCK or Insua, SIDWELL or Lucas, AGBONLAHOR or Babel. Thats 5-1 to Villa - we seem to like that scoreline. Take Gerrard and Torres out of your team - give it 6months and they will be! And Liverpool are an average, mid-table side!! Your team is falling apart coz Alonso is away - the reason he left?? Rafa!!! Getting into top 4 at expense of Liverpool is much easier than at the expense of Arsenal last year!!
