Villa Boss Post West Ham Match Reaction

Villa Boss Post West Ham Match Reaction

Martin O'Neill says Villa deserved at least a draw last night telling the official site: 'I think we did enough to get something.'

He says we were the better team in the first half and that 'we looked a real threat.'

'Obviously the goal just before half-time disrupted us. But we came fighting back and missed a penalty of our own. Ashley Young scored a really good goal and I thought we were going on to win it.'

And again with the tired statement.... 'I just thought in the last 15 minutes we looked a little bit tired.'

He also says despite the loss the team will fight back and he refused to talk about the penalties - actually wish more managers would do that, there is no point ranting about what has been, it won't change anything!?

He also again showed that he doesn't do tactics, much like Milner coming off at half time v Everton, MON said that Heskey - a left winger apparently? - came off at half time last night with a back injury.

tactics? lol.... will look that word up and get back to you! Just said in another thread, West Ham hadn't won since their opening day, we always seem to oblige when teams or players are on bad runs, we just aren't nasty enough and certainly aren't clinical enough. Wonder where Heskey will play next, we could do a sweep stake!

We are missing a natural finisher...makes me wish we'd taken a risk on Owen before Manure snapped him up. The fonz might be the answer long term, but short term we are looking short of goals.

The team may be tired but not as tired as the fans
