Carew Happy With Point

John Carew has described Everton as one of the toughest away trips of the season and was delighted we clawed a point from the match.

In many ways he is right, Everton aren't likely to role over and die even given the number of injuries they have suffered lately, but I think most fans annoyance at the result comes from the way in which we played again as opposed to only taking a point from the game.

Speaking on the official site Carew also admitted his delight at opening his Premiership account for the season, and that he hopes there will be plenty more goals to follow.

'It was a good point I thought. I'd definitely class it as one of the most difficult games of the season so it was good to get a draw.

'I was pleased to come on and make a difference. I was delighted to get my first Premier League goal of the season. It was a good day overall.'

At least whilst we are picking up points even though we aren't playing particularly well, when we do find some form we should be still up there amongst the big boys and will be able to take advantage of that.

If Carew can start finding the net properly games should become slightly more interesting.
