Unoial Villa News...

Well, it had to happen in the end (in my little parallel universe anyway) as the club finally realised that Martin O'Neill isn't the messiah he is a very naughty boy and appoint me as manager. Full article: Fear Is Driving Martin O'Neill Out Of Villa Park

Fieldy: Martin O'Neill has described Brad Jnr as a 'fantastic goalkeeper in the making' following his penalty exploits in our Carling Cup clash. Speaking to SSN, O'Neill said there was 'no question' as to whether Guzan was going to make it in the years to come, the Sunderland performance was merely a glimpse of what we should come to expect. Full quotes: Gaffer Pleased With Guzan

Fieldy: Brad Guzan is determined to oust Brad Friedel between the sticks because he's determined to oust Tim Howard from the US side. Does that make sense? (No, ed!) Full article: Brad's After Brad's Position

Shock YouTube breaking news: Aston Villa And Spurs To Merge?

Fieldy: Collins Has No Fear. I'd be worried if he did, I know JF disappeared early last night but I didn't think he'd been baldknapped. James Collins has said that the squad fear nobody in the draw for the quarter finals of the Carling Cup. The draw takes place at midday ish on Saturday. I'm not telling you lot, I'm trying to remind myself! The Welsh penalty expert believes that our defence is playing well enough for us to be able to withstand the pressure of anyone and give us a realistic shot at winning some silverware for a change. 'We are delighted to be in the hat. If we keep playing and defending the way we are, we'll give anyone a game.'

VIDEO.. Emile Heskey is desperate to fight for his place in the Villa team in order to book his place on the plane to the World Cup in South Africa next summer. Fingers crossed he starts banging in the goals for us, that'll do nicely. Full article: VIDEO - Emile Heskey Desperate To Play
