'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Delighted Dunne

Richard Dunne was pleased to grab his second goal in our win against Chelsea, but was quick to pass praise to his team mates.

It's two in two for Dunny now in the scoring charts, but he's more interested in praising the team for their hard work ethic against Chelsea which in his eyes is something far more important.

Speaking to the official site he said:

'It's nice to score but the amount of work we put in all over the pitch - Gabby was frightening in the first half and John won every single header - it runs right through the team.

'As long as we are winning games and working hard for each other we will stay happy.'

He also had a few quick words for defensive colleague and fellow goalscorer James Collins.

In fact he believes Collins is deserving of more praise than he has received so far, describing him as 'outstanding' since joining the club.

'He's been outstanding since he has come in.

'In this game he really topped it off. Any ball that came in the box he headed out and on the ground he dived in front of it.

'Then for him to get the winner was really good. I think he is really enjoying himself, as am I.'

It's hard to disagree, we all knew Collins was a robost defender from his days at Wet Spam but very few of us were expecting him to be this good, especially so quick.

He's almost been a revelation since joining and it's got to be said despite the season being early, he could quite easily be the most important signing of the summer come the end of the season.

James Collins quickly turning into my (one of my) favourite player(s). He just seems to get on the end of everything. :)

its still very early but even if he plays at half the form he is on now, he is still better than an average curtis davies (who i hope will now have a massive kick up the arse)

Curtis Davies seems to play a better game when he has a good centre half playing alongside him so if we get an injury to one of our new centre halfs i think he will play well . Plus he's only 24 and in a few years i think he will be one of the best .
