'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We Have The Belief To Beat Chelsea

Martin O'Neill knows Chelsea will be a tough test this weekend, but insists we are more than capable of getting a result.

Speaking on the official site today Monny talked all about Chelsea's work ethic, strength and their determination making them tough opposition.

'Chelsea have been going brilliantly.

'There is a work ethic about Chelsea - a strength and determination that keeps them up there. They might not be as easy on the eye as Arsenal but they are quality footballers who know how to win.'

Thankfully that's the end of the opposition love fest for this week. Onto more interesting matters, Monny knows we can still cause an upset:

'We are capable of upsetting them this weekend. We've got the belief.

'We have had some big battles with them - just look at the 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge.

'Then there was the 2-0 victory here in on of Jose's last games. But they are a quality side and they will be hard to beat.'

We certainly wouldn't mind a repeat of the 4-4 , to be fair the 2-0 victory would be kinda nice aswell.

This is one of the games where the performance doesn't matter, we just need to dig in, beat them for effort and get a result we deserve. How we achieve that matters not.

Let's just hope we don't give Lampard the freedom of villa park like we did last season.
