Lawro Is On The Fence Predicting 1-1 With City

Blimey, Lawro has sat on the fence this week saying he thinks the Villa v Man City game will be a 1-1 draw.

Can't see it myself, we are either winning or losing and Man City seem to have some goals in them, so I am not convinced it will be a stalemate and I really have no idea which way it will go!

Lawro told the BBC site:

'You just feel that Manchester City are starting to play with a little bit of a swagger. Roque Santa Cruz is fit, Michael Johnson is playing again and when Robinho is back there will be real competition for places.'

On Villa he added: 'Aston Villa, generally, have been getting good results without playing well but they were unlucky against Blackburn last week, even if they didn't really play well enough to win the game.'

Why were we unlucky? I assume he didn't see the game as that wasn't the impression I was given by those who were there or by the Big Ron radio commentary!?

Anyway, he finishes: 'Both teams create plenty of chances, so I'm going for another draw.'

Lawro last week said 2-1 Villa, it ended 2-1 to Blackburn.

Mystic Mug meanwhile is being a bit of a git and going for a 2-1 loss.

I'm sure Murph will be about at some point with his ever funny preview!

I think Man Citeh will beat us. They score a lot of goals and I don't think we're solid enough at the back, despite the promising start from the new look defence. I think we'll concede at least 2 but more likely 3, sigh. Hoepfully we'll score in the Holte.

Hardly surprising that Lawro is being conservative, when has he been anything but? For what it's worth, I'm a City fan and I think both defenses will get a jolly good work out. 2-2 draw is my prediction, although for obvious reasons, I'd prefer us to win!

not sure if we are capable of scoring more than 2, so if we hold city to the same or less then we get a result.

before the season started, i did the BBC match predictions for the whole season...work gets very boring at times :P i am obviously biased but for this one, i predicted a 2-2 draw but then I didnt expect City to be doing as well as they have been doing either. Thought we would win against Wigan too lol. I'm very unsure about this one, a 2-2 draw would suit me, but thats only if Villa sort their heads out first and stay switched on to the Citeh swagger and don't get scared by the size of all their players wallets:P
