'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's Albright, He'll Make His Marc

Have apparently always been the thoughts of Tony McAndrew, our youth team Guru, Grand Wizard of the Villa Order, and all round general nice guy.

Speaking on the official site today in response to Marc Albrighton's new shiny 3 year contract extension McAndrew admits the only real problem he ever had with Marc was that he could be too hard himself and has always been the biggest critic of his own performances.

Not a bad thing really.

Onwards.

McAndrew has repeated this call that Albrighton is a 'fantastic prospect' for the club and says the difference in the player since his Peace Cup confidence spike has been phenomenal.

'The biggest problem I ever had with Marc was that I always found he was a bit hard on himself.

'It would be nice to see him stay here a long time, make a really good career at this football club and really do himself justice.

'If Marc gets his confidence levels high then he is a fantastic prospect and I hope he gets everything that he deserves.'

High words indeed from a man who himself doesn't get the credit he deserves, but that goes for all our youth coaches when you consider the talent we develop.

Time will tell whether Albrighton can make his Marc in the Premiership, but from what we've seen so far he has all the potential in the world to do so.
