LOL... The Birmingham Mail have a little incident quoted from the press conference at Villa last week. MON asked 'Is there an unwritten rule that all football journalists should dress like scruffs?' One reporter responded: 'I take exception to that. I am always immaculately turned out.' MON answered: 'Yes, but I don’t class you as a journalist!' OUCH!

Sometimes the press put 2+2 together and come up with whatever answer they want, however this one surely has some substance to it, if not in the price and target club, in the fact that Nigel Hokey-Cokey appears to have a very long road back if he wants to play regularly for Villa again after the 'incident' with Villa boss Martin O'Neill? He was sent home as we all know and told to come back on Monday when things would be assessed. Well, and we could be reading too much into it I guess, he got back into training but didn't make the Carling Cup team v Cardiff and although he got back on the bench in our defeat to Blackburn Rovers, he didn't get a look in on the pitch. MON told the official site that Steve Sidwell might be back in time for Man City but Luke Young won't be explaining 'Luke is doing really well. Stan Collymore has told the official site that he has faith in Gabby and says he is answering his critics: 'Gabby has taken a fair bit of stick these past few months but I reckon he has well and truly silenced his critics. Gabby came under fire towards the end of last season because he wasn't scoring many goals and has also had a slow start to the current campaign. But I reckon that's all behind him now.
