7th Win On The Trot Is A Dunne Deal
Richard Dunne is confident that Villa can make it seven wins on the trot (in all competitions) against Blackburn this weekend.
Quoted on the official site Villa's newboy said that the results had gone really well for the club after our disasterous start against Wigan, and that everybody is looking to extend our unbeaten run for as long as possible.
'If you keep winning games it breeds confidence around the whole club. At the moment the table looks really positive.'
Dunne also believes that if Villa can continue their flying run to the start of the season, it will bode well for our Top 4 challenge and allow us to open a gap over our competition.
'Any team that can go on a decent run has a really good opportunity of breaking into that top four this season.'
He also, strangely, thinks the league will be more open this season. Now whilst I don't see that myself I certainly wouldn't argue with Villa being able to sit pretty in 3rd place again, 8 odd points clear of the nearest chaser as we enter the end of the season.
This time after the additions of the summer, maybe we'll be able to stay there.
