The Hulk Backs Mini Me for England

The Hulk Backs Mini Me for England

John Carew has urged Fabio Capello to take a second look at Gabby Agbonlahor after his recent performances for the claret and blue.

Speaking to SSN, Carew said that Capello could do far worse than give Gabby another shot at England glory.

'Gabby should be the England squad if you ask me - definitely. He's in terrific shape, has the explosiveness of pace, plus the power - and he's scoring goals.'

Carew also mentions the fact Gabby is 3 for 3 out of recent matches and believes that his response to being dropped from the England fringes has been perfect.

Training harder over the summer to add some bulk to his game without sacrificing his pace and finding a vein of form at club level should certainly have brought Gabby back onto Fabio's radar.

Whether he can be consistent enough is still open for debate, but he's not doing much wrong at the moment - whether that's enough to displace the current crop only Fabio will know, but he's got to be at least knocking on the door again.

Yeh he's good in bursts, scores a few then goes of the boil for 10 games. If he Scores a bit more often this season then he will be in the england squad no doubt about that.
