'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We Cannot Afford To Lose Our Momentum

Brad Friedel is looking towards the Cardiff match with a tinge of excitement given our recent form. We stand a chance of finally having a run in the Domestic Cups!

Speaking on the official site Big Brad Snr has called on the team to keep the momentum going and make it six competitive games on the trot come Wendesday.

The aged American also pointed towards the example of Pompey as what can happen when your momentum is lost, he could've however pointed to our end of season form which would've been far more accurate as Pompey have been decimated by outgoing transfers so I'm not sure momentum really figures in it.

Onwards -

'We are on one of those runs where we're really looking forward to the next game and that's going to be Cardiff at home.

'Momentum and confidence are great to have with you and very detrimental to not have with you.'

It would definitely be nice to take the Cup competitions seriously this year, we don't have the added annoyance of Europe - which is what it seems to be - so the domestic cups are our best chance of actually winning something for a change.

Yes we expect a fair few changes as the youngsters get another chance again, but this time if key players are going to be rested have them on the bench Monny for the final 30 minutes if things go pear shaped please.
