FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT...? MON v NRC?!

Fight, fight, fight...!

According to the Sun - and no doubt the whispers will now run riot throughout the internet... Nigel Hokey-Cokey and Martin O'Neill have been scrapping!

No, seriously!

Vic Holly says in The Sun that there was a 'heated exchange' yesterday in training at Bodymoor Heath.

They quote a 'stunned onlooker' saying that they even 'fell to the ground grappling' at one point. Are you sure this was a fight and not something else?! No, think I'd rather it a fight actually!

Apparently they weren't throwing punches, just wrestling.... as you do!

They say that NRC hasn't been happy at the way he has been used since coming from West Ham, sure enough he doesn't hide his disappointment when he is brought off and looked stunned on the opening day when he was benched in favour of Delph and later remained on the bench with Albrighton favoured above him.

Shame if this is true, I think NRC is a decent player. These things do happen though, just be interesting now to see how they both react to it (again, if true), you don't usually cross someone like MON without consequences, just ask Thomas Sorensen who said a few things against the boss and never played for Villa again!

I think its a shame if right. We'll lose a decent scrappy midfielder when we need all the players we can get.

NRC would be a major loss IMO. Especially away from home. He makes it very hard for the opposition to play. He was brilliant in that role at Anfield. However, if the rumour IS true, I fear his days at VP are finished. He may not have been in the 1st XI anyway on Saturday (although I would have played him ahead of Sidwell) but if he is not on the bench either, then we will all know he has played his last game I'm afraid.

I think MON's really pushing NRC into becoming a cracking player in the Keane mould if the start of this season and the Peace Cup is anything to go by. If we need to boss the midfield against tougher opposition then he's the man! Against lesser teams he'll have to sit it out a bit as we can afford to use players with more flair who need time on the ball, but in saying that NRC should expact to start or at least play a crucial part in over half of the Prem games. It was a duff decision of MON's to start with Delph thoug all things considering against an under rated Wigan! Hope the scrap didn't happen though! Anyone record a clip on thier phone???!!!!

Its a total myth that reo coker is a midfield enforcer type of player,Im begging you go back and watch what he actually does in games,His is complete *****e.I don`t know where this image of him comes from.Probably becaus ehe tells everyone enough times he is a explosive "BOX TO BOX" midfielder thats what people see.He is cack, complete cack. And now he wants to start sulking at matches and kicking off at training?Whatever little he does well on the pitch he is not good enough to get away with that.

It's ridiculous. It has taken 3 years for mon to finally get to the point where he has a squad big enough to rotate. Now whenever he drops a player, the player goes running off to the press (in shoreys case) *****ing and moaning, but then following it up by saying 'hey thats football'. What a joke. Coker needs to chill out. Thought he was supposed to be this great heartbeat of the team. He's done well for us this season, and I hope this is the kind of thing that him and MON can come through, but to be fair to MON he's in the worst position. He has to make an example of him so nobody else messes with him but then he has to take the flak of not being able to rotate. Reo gives us good energy against all sides, i think it should be sidwell who gets dropped for someone like delph or gardner, but then MON knows what hes doing after winning the last 3 games, its reo whos gonna mess this up for us with his stinking big man attitude. I bet John robertson gave him a good kick up the arse as well. Btw lol at the balti pie post.

Wasn't NRC practically ran out of Upton Park? The same looks like it's going to happen here too. I'd hate to lose him but if this story is true he's off. Can't have that kind of disruptive attitude on the pitch and on the training ground. This is Gardners big chance. I think Delph still isn't ready.

Its on SSN now, Hope it doesn't mean it's his last game. I like Reo Coker; hard-tackling, aggressive and direct! We haven't really got anyone else in our squad like him. Sidwell is not as rough and petrov you can tell wouldn't hurt a fly. He's been sent home from the training ground and most probably will be docked a few weeks wages. MON is no fool and won't get rid of a player who has the quality to play most of the matches in our midfield. I for one would rather have Reo Coker instead of Sidwell in Midfield. Although Delph will now have a chance to break into our 1st team, lets see if he can take it. UTV

astonsteve raises a good point. NRC does not fit into MONs 442 plans. Monny doesnt see NRC possessing attacking guile and will never pair him with a 'holding' Petrov. Only in a 451 will NRC start (unless of course RB/RW suffers depletion).
