'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Shane Drops Down Under A Division

New Aussie international pledge Shane Lowry has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan.

The deal sees the 20 year old centre half team up with the Pilgrims for 3 months as they try and improve their fortunes this season.

Although it's early in all league campaigns, Paul Sturrock's team find themselves at the foot of the table and are desperately hoping for a change of luck.

Hopefully Lowry will get a good few games under his belt, as the experience will no doubt be invaluable as he continues his development.

peaking to 'This Is Plymouth' Sturrock said of our youngster:

br>

Defensively, we are very short. He has got real potential and he wants to do well.

br>

He has played with Alan Judge and Cillian Sheridan in the Republic of Ireland under-21 side, and they have waxed lyrical about him."

So he's no longer a Plastic Paddy then? Pity as apart from the Honey Monster and perhaps John O'Shea, the ROI don't have a huge amount of cover in that area of the field. (Then again, they don't have much cover in ANY part of the field....)

However quick you grow them you'd still need to wait for them to gain experience, unless of course you use those foi gras force feeders to ram Guinness down their throats.

Promising youngster with a good footballing brain. The loan spell will be good for him, give him the opportunity of improving and developing in a truly competitive setting. He's a good player, who will return to Brummagem B6 all the better for his experiences down in Devon. Good Luck to him.
