MoM v Blues + Which Sale Would You Like Back!?

MoM v Blues + Which Sale Would You Like Back!?

Vital Villa asked for your Man of the match v Blues.

No real shock that the two new arrivals, Richard Dunne (from Manchester City) and James Collins (from West Ham) fought it out as they made such solid debut's (as did Stephen Warnock to be fair!)

The winner by 1% was Richard Dunne (38%) so by the fact he won by 1% I reckon you can work out yourselves what James Collins got... answers on a postcard to someone who cares!

The rest:

Carlos Cuellar 6%
Gabby Agbonlahor 6%
Brad Friedel 6%
Stephen Warnock 2%
Ooooh The Hokey-Cokey! 2%
Stiliyan Petrov 1%
James Milner 1%
John Carew (sub) 1%
Steve Sidwell 0%
Ashley Young 0%

Our latest poll asks which Martin O'Neill sale would you most like back? and I stress, this isn't meant to be a negative question, just interested who if any you think 'got away' and who you'd love to still be in a Villa shirt.

Milan Baros Lyon Swap for John Carew
Gary Cahill Bolton Undisc (in region of £4m?)
Liam Ridgewell Birmingham £2m
Jlloyd Samuel Bolton Free
Steven Davis Fulham £4m
Aaron Hughes Fulham £1m
Gavin McCann Bolton £1m
Luke Moore (West Brom - £3.5million)
Olof Mellberg (Juventus - free)
Thomas Sorensen (released)
Shaun Maloney (Celtic, £1million)
Wayne Routledge (undisclosed)
Gareth Barry (Manchester City, £12million)
Zat Knight (Bolton £4 - £4.5million)

I'm surprised Collins got such a high score. Not that he didn't play well - he did - but I thought Dunne was immense.

Only 2 I'd want back are Barry and Cahill, but Barry edges it for me.

thought it about right sheriff, both very solid, very promising. Shame warnock's votes were so low, thought he made a good start as well!

Considering Barry sold himself I don't see how anyone can answer anything other than Cahill. I thought about Mellberg for a minute, but he's getting older, and Cahill is clearly having more of an impact in the very league we play in.

Well yeah (re Warnock) but the problem is that only one man can be MOTM! I mean, I thought Petrov played well but he only got 1% of the vote and I'm not surprised. Thing with Collins is that it's not like I thought he played badly, I'm just surprised people went for him over Dunne. But then if it was that simple, the man of the match award would always be in the 90%'s or even 100% wouldn't it! Ideally you want the team to play so well that all the players are in the 7%-12% kind of region! ha!
