Villa Starlet In Forest Loan

It's rumoured that Martin O'Neill has agreed to send Marc Albrighton to Sherwood Forest to give him increased opportunities to mug left backs.

According to a rumour in the Mirror, Monny has been speaking to Forest counterparts over a deal to allow our talented right midfielder to turn out at the City Ground for the next month.

Despite impressing hugely in the pre season Peace Cup, and being somewhat regularly involved in our first team matches, Albrighton is quite a way off turning out regularly on our right side so a loan deal makes perfect sense and will aide his development far more than being a regular in our reserve side.

Forest would be the ideal place, it's still local and he has a good chance of making an immediate impact in their first team and gaining invaluable experience.

The rumour is unquoted, and as of yet remains just that - a rumour - but it makes perfect sense and we've been waiting to see if some of starlets would see loan moves now the window has shut.

As soon as we get confirmation, we'll let you know.

Hope he does get a loan move, if we was in Europe that'd be one thing but I don't see him getting many games now.
