James Milner - What A Quality Bloke!

I think I've fallen in love with James Milner ... in a totally manly way you understand cough cough!

The guy is just quality though. He has apologised to fans in an interview in the Express&Star for a below par performance at the weekend in our local derby win.

Top class!

The winger, who appears to have leapt above Ashley Young in the England pecking order (?) told the paper he thinks his 'radar' was off adding that sometimes games just go like that and things 'don't always go your way'

As I was banging on about in the match thread at the time though, despite being off form until nearer the end of the game, he didn't (and never does) hide, he still wants the ball and keeps trying to make things happen. Others go missing when things aren't right.

He said 'You've just got to keep going on and trust your ability and that's what I try to do.'

Old head on young shoulders, as he's been about so long due to starting early with Leeds, you tend to forget he is still only a youngster learning his trade rather than the finished article. Going to be a formidable player for Villa over the years I reckon!

If he was half as good on the field as his price and your commendation, he'd be deadly. So much ability and as he's shown since he joined in O'Leary's time so inconsistent. He needs to sort it or he'll become another nearly man, a bit like the way Young's going.

I can't understand why they're being picked for the national side, but we all know that Capello knows absolutely zip in comparison to you, eh?

I think Milner is awsome! Has a blinding work ethic! Will keep going and going and always give 100% effort every game. Lennon had a poor game for Spurs at the weekend for instance. Some players have off days as everyone in the world does. Gerrard, Lampard have all had their moments and come through the other side. Cliche I know but form is temporary class is with you for life!
