Davies Undergoes Surgery

The official site have confirmed that Curtis Davies has now undergone surgery for his injured shoulder.

Martin O'Neill has said:

'The operation went well and it was reasonably routine. He will obviously now be out for a fairly lengthy time.

'There is no exact timescale but these things usually clear up in four months plus.'

Villa also confirmed that Davies suffered three dislocations in a period of four weeks prior to seeking specialised advice and Villa's medical staff decided the possibility of an operation should happen sooner rather than later.

We wish Curtis the best and we hope he has a speedy recovery!

Better to lose him now than later. he will return at an important time in the season for us.

He was carrying this injury last season, why oh why wasn't he in for surgery straight after the Newcastle game??
