Carlos Backs The Brummie Bid... Do You?!

Carlos Backs The Brummie Bid... Do You?!

Following our article via Vital England Click Here I've noticed a 'back the bid' article on the official site with Carlos Cuellar, backing Birmingham's bid to be a host city for the 2018 World Cup.

A few other stars ... as well as Jasper Carrott (only joking!) attended an event to pledge support and back the campaign: www.backthebirminghambid.com.

Birmingham's bid is built on a strong partnership with Aston Villa, using Villa Park as the stadium venue and the city's other football clubs - Blues and West Bromwich Albion - providing training grounds and camps. There would also be four team base camps in the region where national teams would stay for the duration of the tournament.

Vital England has been running many 'back the bid' articles recently:

England Women Back 2018 Bid
Back England's 2018 World Cup Bid
Oasis & Kasabian Back England Bid
Capello and Terry Back The Bid

Forum thread: Click Here

England have to submit their bid by May 2010 and Fifa will make the decision and announce who will have the 2018 World Cup by December 2010.

England 2018 has launched a new text message service to help even more fans get behind its Bid to stage the FIFA World Cup. With the whole country ready to cheer on the national side in the crucial upcoming fixtures, supporters will be able to Back the Bid by simply texting ENGLAND to 62018.
