Mike Field: Craig Gardner has admitted it'll be no easy task to get into the first team this year, but he's going to keep on trying and he's determined to call a first team spot his own. Speaking on the official site Craig has admitted that this is the season where he needs to get some real action and make a proper claim for a midfield spot. Some of us are dying to see him get a run of 5-10 games in the centre so he can really show us what he's made of but sadly he's below Reo-Coker, Petrov, Sidwell and now it appears young Delph in the pecking order. Mike Field: Richard Dunne has pledged to improve his disciplinary record and give me no further excuses to create cheesy headlines. Speaking to SSN new signing Richard Dunne has promised to reduce the number of times he leaves the pitch early, but is adamant that he will not stop giving 100% in matches, nor change the type of player he is. Off topic, but I'm pretty sure Villa would have already used more players in the league this season than in the whole of last season if Dunne & Warnock (as expected) play against the blue noses. 6pts in 3 league games, no Europa League distraction (although still a bit disappointed but can be a positive) & finally strength in depth. How encouraging is that?
