According to the Mirror today, Newcastle's loan move for Marlon Harewood is currently on hold because the 30-year-old picked up a foot injury during pre-season. Blimey, I knew his record for starts wasn't good but hadn't realised he'd only made one Premier League start since his move in the summer of 2007!

Off topic, but I'm pretty sure Villa would have already used more players in the league this season than in the whole of last season if Dunne & Warnock (as expected) play against the blue noses. 6pts in 3 league games, no Europa League distraction (although still a bit disappointed but can be a positive) & finally strength in depth. How encouraging is that?
